The dental kit allows

1. Dental hygiene: Wipe off plaque on the teeth around the gums. You can also gently scrape away tartar so you don't scratch your enamel. Some people may have their teeth ground down so that the raised area near the gum line may not be plaque, but tooth enamel. You can tell by the different color and that it cannot be removed. Be careful. It saves a lot of money. Our subjective feeling is that we don't notice a difference versus treatment by a dental hygienist. Your teeth should be smooth after swiping your tongue (unless you have unevenly ground enamel, i.e. as smooth as after dental hygiene). At your own risk.
2. Emergency cavity sealing. For us, this was the way out when our 4-year-old wouldn't let the dentist seal the cleaned cavity and the filling fell out 3 times. We sealed it with dental cement originally from India commonly sold on ebay for about 40-45 Euro. And it's holding. Definitely not the ideal solution for teeth - it was putting the baby to sleep and professional treatment, but we didn't want that. At our own risk.
