- the blow is basically through the knots at the end and more like a ball on a chain (like the medieval Morgenstern weapon)

- the wound is neither pungent nor refined, it is painful to the point of being raw

Conclusion: more like a prop. Otherwise not recommended. There is no subtlety, but a blunt blow. This is definitely not how Persian reprimands are supposed to work.
